I’ve always found joy and comfort in the written word. So I created this blog to express my thoughts and feelings on all the ways the pandemic has changed our days. I tend to think we humans are more alike than different in how we experience this strange and beautiful life (although I must admit recent events have caused me to question this belief at times). We are upset when we witness hate, violence, and suffering; we are disappointed when things don’t happen as we had hoped; we are stressed, or depressed, when we feel a lack of control over our lives; and we are delighted when we are reunited with loved ones after long separations. There’s a lot of commonality when you remove the many labels. And it always makes me feel better to know I’m not the only one struggling with the wild ups and downs of this corona-coaster.

There’s also a lot of material when you consider how the pandemic has impacted most aspects of our lives. Off the top of my head, there’s work, travel (see below), medical care, schooling, exercise, personal grooming, home renovations, entertainment, shopping, and relationships. I plan to address all of these things and more in the coming months. I wish we didn’t have months of pandemic still ahead of us, but at the rate at which vaccines are being made available, I don’t expect we’ll be back to “normal” anytime soon. So let’s make the best of these tough times, and try to find the silver linings because they’re out there, even if you don’t see them right away.

Travel, pandemic-style.

    1. Thanks, Beachgirl! I can’t wait until we can travel together to a tropical isle, sans accoutrement!

  1. It’s my personal opinion that you look cute in everything you wear, even when sporting the all-necessary for safety pandemic air-travel gear. And I look forward to reading your thoughts on living life in these challenging times.
